Family-Hosted Performance Groups

Date: Scheduled by the hosting family - see Calendar for scheduled groups

Location: The hosting family's home - contact me for address

Students play for each other in an informal setting. It can be something you are working on so you can get feedback, a memorized piece that you need to practice in front of an audience to test memorization, a piece that you love and want to share, or to prepare for a competition or other event. If you have performance fears, the more you play in front of people, the more comfortable you'll get. So, attend (and host) as many as you can.

If you have a digital piano, this will be especially important for you in developing your technique and adjusting to a real piano for the recital.

Listening to live music can be very enjoyable. So, even if you don't want to play, consider coming to support other player's goals, find something new to play, or be encouraged to play next time.

Request the detailed instructional book from your troop leader. There are options for some requirements. Much of what you need to know to successfully complete the various requirements is covered in the book, but I can help if you choose option 3C and B4.
